For some important reasons, Kasia with her mother and younger siblings have to unexpectedly leave Warsaw. So Kasia will have to finish her school and pass her final exams in a new place. Yet, these are not the only exams she will have to take there, in the place which she at first thinks is her temporary destination…
What will she find out about her new friends: about the loner Albi, about Zuzanna, a beautiful girl with a speech defect, about Gondol who always clowns around, and about Konrad, the most handsome boy from amongst the graduates? What will be the role her neighbour with a shaven head, a tattoo and an earring is to play in her life and in the life of her autistic brother?
The book can be described with the same words Kasia uses to refer to her favourite fairy tale entitled Apolejka and Her Donkey: “it is about otherness and perseverance. It has the very «I will always love you», against everything and everybody”.
